The Used Tack Store offers great bargains on saddles and gently used tack including bits, bridles, horse blankets, boots, helmets, hats and some clothing. The store is located at the San Miguel Flouring Mill at the corner of 14th and N streets and is open Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, and on Saturdays from 8 am to noon.  All proceeds benefit a local charity, Morning Star Youth Ranch. "Project Lifesaver" offers a radio transmitter worn on the wrist by people with Alzheimer's or brain injuries who may wander off. The transmitter emits a tracking signal so that a Project Lifesaver search team can quickly locate the lost person. If you are into wild game cooking try this Rattlesnake Recipe:
Skin snake and cut in 3-4" pieces. Roll in mixture of flour, corn meal, milk and egg. Salt and pepper. Deep fry in hot oil. Serve hot.
